A Celestial Visit

An angel in flight,
Such an odd occurance.
Hath she a destination in her eye?
The bedroom of a young scholar.
With every flowing movement of her wings,
She releases the sweet aroma of her celestial presence.
The beautiful angel rises over the sleeping child.
Carefully, she bestowes a heavenly kiss and leaves swiftly.
The boy wakes up in a fountain of tears and grief.
He looks out at the moon and weeps over his proximity to his love.
